Field Inspection Tool for Composite Overwrap Repairs over Carbon Steel Pipelines and Piping

 

This winning technology uses an integrated solution consisting of Dynamic Response Spectroscopy (DRS) and Microwave Field Inspection Tools. DRS is primarily utilised to inspect carbon steel pipe remaining wall thickness. It also offers a high-level assessment of the wrap integrity while the microwave method is primarily utilised to access repair integrity and external surface of piping substrate. The said technology has been piloted at Malaysia LNG (MLNG) on November 2018.
