The Movement Control Order (MCO) has significantly impacted the lives of many who are now restricted to staying at home. The Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) has stepped up to aid those who are more vulnerable during this time. A donation drive led by PETRONAS Refinery And Petrochemical Corporation Sdn Bhd (PRPC), saw the distribution of essential food staples to aid 200 families residing in 8 neighbouring villages within the vicinity of PIC.

 

The distribution took place at Pejabat Penghulu Mukim Pantai Timur, Kampung Sungai Rengit on 9 April 2020. The items were handed over by Head of Community Relations of Stakeholder Management Department, PRPC, Encik M Sulaini Wahid, to Penghulu Mukim Pantai Timur, Tuan Haji Mohd Khaidir Ismail. The supplies comprising 200 bags/packets/cans each of rice, flour, salt, sugar, biscuits, rice vermicelli, tea bags as well 400 packets/cans each of sardine, cooking oil and condensed milk came as timely support for low income families.
