The Official Launch of the PICOAT Self-Regulation System (PSRS)

ONE TEAM, ONE GOAL was brought to life when the Engineering and Asset Integrity (EAI) programme Business Sponsor, En. Zuraimi B M Idris and PICOAT Director from the Malaysian Department of Safety and Health (DOSH), En. Anuar B Embi jointly hit the launch button to officiate the Go-Live of PICOAT Self-Regulation System (PSRS). The event was held on the 14th February 2019 at the HIVE Multi-Purpose Hall, Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC), and attended by Head of Divisions, representatives from DOSH, PRefChem, Group HSSE, Group Technology Solutions (GTS), and users of the PSRS.

In his opening remarks, En. Zuraimi shared about how the PICOAT framework and PSRS will enhance plant operations efficiency and improved productivity. Meanwhile, En. Anuar in his keynote address acknowledged that the PICOAT Framework was an output of the high level of trust between PETRONAS and DOSH for achieving plant performance enhancement and reduction of occupational safety and health incidents. He also highlighted the limitless possibility of replicating the PICOAT Self-Regulation System in other refinery plants across Malaysia.
To highlight the importance of PSRS, PICOAT Business Champion, En. Nazari B Ahmad provided an overview of the system functionalities and key benefits, including the reduction of unplanned downtime and enhancement of asset integrity performance.
In the spirit of PETRONAS Cultural Beliefs, individuals and teams were given recognition by Business Sponsor, En. Zuraimi for their contribution to the successful launch of the system, this included the PICOAT Taskforce team and Project Team, and the Project Implementation Team. Those present at the event also had the opportunity to explore the system at the PSRS Information Booth.

PICOAT stands for Pengerang Integrated Complex Occupational Safety and Health Administration Transformation and is a collaborative initiative between PETRONAS and DOSH. It aims towards achieving self-regulation of Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) operations and management.
The PSRS will allow users to submit, monitor, and view their audit status in ensuring occupational safety and health compliance. This collaboration promotes a more flexible regulatory environment for PETRONAS to innovate and improvise Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) measures.
