Since 2013 Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) has organised yearly Hari Raya Haji celebrations with the communities of Pengerang and this year, the annual Majlis Korban Bersama Komuniti Pengerang was held at Masjid Kampung Lepau, Pengerang on 14 August 2019.

 

​The co-organisers of the event were PETRONAS, Pengerang Refining and Petrochemical (PRefChem) and the coalition was further strengthened with the support from Badan Kebajikan Kakitangan Islam PETRONAS (BAKIP).

 

 

​The half day event saw some 300 congregants gathered at the event where a total of 40 cattle donated by PETRONAS and PRefChem staff were sacrificed and the meat was then distributed to the congregants as well as the underprivileged within Pengerang and Kota Tinggi district.

 

 

​The Majlis Korban Bersama Komuniti Pengerang is indeed a commendable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) effort as the program not only fulfils the requirement of Fardu Kifayah in Islam but also indirectly allows the sharing rezeki (blessings) through the distribution of the meat with the less fortunate.
