At PETRONAS Lubricants International (PLI), we leverage technology, skills and knowledge to offer a comprehensive range of championship-winning lubricants and functional fluids for consumer, commercial and industrial usage in over 100 countries worldwide.
Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, PLI also has offices around the world including Turin, Belo Horizonte, Beijing and Chicago. Through our Fluid Technology Solutions™, we take an intelligent approach to maximise vehicles’ performance, as evidenced by the eight Formula One World Constructors’ Championships and 115 Grand Prix wins by the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team.
Our expertise in Fluid Technology Solutions™ paves the way for us to produce a range of sustainable products such as the ETRO+ base oil and PETRONAS Syntium Hybrid engine oil, in line with the greater shifts towards new energy. As a pioneer of automobile fluids for electric vehicles with PETRONAS Iona, we will grow our presence in this space by continuously innovating our next generation solutions for the market segment.
From our Research and Technology (R&T) centres in Italy, China, Brazil, the USA and Malaysia, we continue to refine and enhance our Fluid Technology Solutions™ for a better performance both on the race track and on the road, as well as for agricultural and industrial use.Formula One
PETRONAS is not just the Title Partner, but more importantly a Technical Partner to the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team. Through this Technical Partnership, PETRONAS has developed its winning PETRONAS Fluid Technology Solutions™ that powered the Silver Arrows to eight consecutive Formula One World Constructors’ Championship and 115 Grand Prix wins.
The learnings on track are then used to formulate a complete range of PETRONAS Primax fuels, PETRONAS Syntium lubricants with °CoolTech™ technology and PETRONAS Tutela fluids to deliver optimum performance, efficiency and protection for the everyday road users.
As Formula One moves towards sustainable fuel in 2026, PETRONAS will be fully equipped with the capacity and capabilities to produce and supply 100% Advanced Sustainable Fuels to the next generation of Formula One power units.
