PETRONAS clinched triple honours at the 2023 Building Trust Awards by PwC Malaysia, emerging as the winner for the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (FBM KLCI) category alongside two Special Mentions; PwC Malaysia’s ESG Reporting Benchmarking Analysis and PwC Malaysia’s Public Trust Perception Analysis.

PETRONAS' success at The Building Trust Awards 2023 reflects its dedication to transparency, communication, and stakeholder engagement, culminating in the strong positive trust perceptions among the internal and external stakeholders. These awards stand as a testament to the company's unwavering commitment to building and maintaining trust within its diverse stakeholder community.

The award was accepted by Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik, President and Group Chief Executive Officer of PETRONAS during the award ceremony that was held on 5th December 2023 at The Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

PETRONAS won three awards at the Asia Pacific Energy Capital Assembly Awards in the categories of National Oil Company of The Year, Energy Transition Company of the Year and Executive of The Year -  awarded to PETRONAS President and Group CEO, Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik. 

PETRONAS was recognised for its leadership and performance in delivering sustainable energy solutions for a lower carbon future, including achievements with the Kasawari Project and Gentari.  

PETRONAS Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Mazuin Ismail received the award on behalf of the company on 7 June 2023 in Singapore.

Developing Economies Energy Company of the Year Award

PETRONAS Research Sdn Bhd (PRSB) was honoured at ADIPEC 2023 with the distinguished Developing Economies Energy Company of the Year Award. The award underscores PRSB's exceptional contributions to the energy sector, particularly in the context of developing economies for its groundbreaking technologies, Cryomin and Precipitated Calcium Carbonate that separates CO2 from natural gas with less carbon footprint.

This recognition is a testament to PETRONAS’ commitment in driving transformative change towards its aspiration of achieving Net Zero Carbon Emissions by 2050.
